Vinyl remains the most economical and lowest-maintenance choice, and modern profiles look far better than they did a decade ago. Fiber-cement offers a painted-wood look with real fire and impact resistance at a higher cost. Engineered wood sits between them. We'll help you weigh cost, look and maintenance — and specify the flashing the same way regardless.

How long does siding replacement take?
A typical single-family home takes one to two weeks, longer with sheathing repairs, complex trim or fiber-cement.
Can new siding go over old siding?
Sometimes, but it hides rot, adds weight and complicates flashing. We generally scope a full removal so the sheathing can be inspected.
Will new siding lower my energy bills?
Modestly on its own; more when paired with insulated backer or added wall insulation while the sheathing is exposed.
