Jackson is a large, mostly suburban township of newer developments, established neighborhoods and adult communities, and it is home to Six Flags Great Adventure. Because Jackson is inland, projects here are less about flood zones and more about space, systems and exteriors: additions, finished basements, new kitchens and baths, roofs and siding.

What we build in Jackson

Home additions · Add-a-levels · Kitchens · Bathrooms · Basements · Roofing · Siding · Windows · Decks · Pavers & patios · Sunrooms. Additions, add-a-levels, whole-home renovations and new construction are built by Remodeling Network directly. For trades we don't build ourselves, our Preferred Contractors network prices the same written scope.

Jackson homes: what to plan for

  • Homes from the 1980s to 2000s. Many Jackson houses are due for roofs, siding, windows and kitchen updates. We price exteriors and interiors together so the work happens in the right order.
  • Basements and added space. Jackson homes often have usable basements and open lots. Egress, ceiling height, moisture control and permits decide what a basement can become.
  • HOAs and adult communities. Jackson has both. Exterior changes often need association approval alongside the township permit, and we build that review into the timeline.
  • Pinelands. Parts of Jackson fall inside the Pinelands Area, where some projects that add footprint need a Pinelands Commission filing before the township permit.

Permits and inspections in Jackson

Jackson Township's construction office issues building, electrical, plumbing and fire permits under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and schedules the inspections. Your written scope lists which permits your project needs and who pulls them. Contractors must hold a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor registration; ours is #13VH11195900, and every contractor on our Preferred Contractors page shows theirs.

How it works

Every request is read by a real person. We start by helping you turn what you want into a clear, written scope — the work, the materials, the allowances, the permits and the warranty — so you know exactly what you're buying before anyone prices it.

From there, we either build the project ourselves or introduce you to licensed, insured New Jersey contractors from our network who price that same scope. You compare the proposals apples to apples, and you make the final decision. We never choose for you.

Jackson remodeling FAQs

Do you build additions in Jackson?

Yes. Additions, add-a-levels and renovations are built by Remodeling Network directly, and we have worked in Jackson before. We handle drawings, permits and the association submission where one is required.

Do I need Pinelands approval for a Jackson addition?

Only if your property is inside the Pinelands Area and the project adds footprint or touches protected features. We check the property at the first visit and tell you whether a filing is needed before the township permit.

Will Remodeling Network do the work itself or refer me to another contractor?

Both happen. Additions, add-a-levels, renovations and new construction are usually built by Remodeling Network directly. For other trades we introduce you to licensed, insured contractors from our network who price your written scope, and you choose. We never guarantee another contractor's work, and we tell you up front which arrangement applies.
